Peel the carrot, chop it into cubes, and steam it.
Meanwhile, lightly crush the oatmeal (in a food processor or mortar) and cook it in drinking water on low heat until it reaches a pudding-like consistency.
It is necessary to stir while cooking to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
Mash the carrot with a fork and mix it with oats before adding breast milk or follow-on milk.
